Aurora

Aurora Aksnes was born on 15 June 1996 in Stavanger, Norway. She is professionally known as Aurora and often stylized with highercase letters like AURORA. Her debut E.P. Running with the Wolves by Decca Records was released on May 15, 2015, receiving rave reviews from the music blogosphere as well as media. The artist has already released two top-of-the-line covers Half the World Away by Oasis. Oasis as a Christmas commercial from John Lewis and Nature Boy by Nat King Cole. Katy Perry's praise for her track Runaway via a blog post brought the singer additional acknowledgement. Make it a special day for her. Aurora Aksnes first musical memory was finding a keyboard at her loft, where she was amazed by its sound. Jan Oystein Aksnes and May-Britt Aksnes encouraged her to learn music. It was not for a job or as just a pastime, but in order to grow. She started writing the songs she wrote herself. She points to renowned songwriters Leonard Cohen and Bob Dylan as inspirations, and also an inclination to Bjork's style. She decided to start performing their songs in public after her mother said they could help people not to gain fame with the work she does, but to help the people around them understand the significance of what they do and how they have an impact on the world. When she was six, she began to play the piano. At age nine, she when she began to write songs. The family did not know about this until she was 14. The dream was never for her to achieve Aurora. Aurora claims she loves making music. To her, music is the best way to convey anything.
